Imagine living in a state of medical limbo for up to 17 years, watching your child struggle with a life-threatening heart condition, knowing the specialist healthcare they need is entirely out of reach. For hundreds of families in Tripoli, Libya, this is not an imagination - it is their daily reality. Congenital Heart Disease leaves children fragile and families desperate, trapped on critical waiting lists as a strained medical system struggles to cope. But compassion travels any distance, and these children cannot wait any longer.
Our Solution: The Tripoli Surgical Missions
In a powerful partnership with Healing Little Hearts, we fund critical surgical missions that bring international medical teams directly to the National Heart Centre in Tripoli. Backed by over $40,095 in funding, world-class medical experts volunteer their time, skills, and hearts to clear the backlog of high-risk cases. By performing complex, life-saving heart operations right where the families live, we remove the burden of travel and provide top-tier healthcare completely free of charge. To date, these missions have achieved an incredible 100% success rate, moving children safely from critical waiting lists straight into active recovery.
