A Generation Left Behind

Nearly half of Gaza's 2.3 million residents are children. The devastating war has shattered families, leaving thousands of innocent young people completely orphaned and facing an incredibly challenging future. Left without parents, homes, or security, these children are navigating a desperately unpredictable environment. At the Chestertons International Foundation, we believe that providing emergency relief is only the first step. These children need an enduring commitment to their entire futures. Through our $33,413 partnership, we are providing a holistic, long-term lifeline for those who have lost everything.

Our Partnership: The Noor Orphan Care Program

We have partnered directly with Taawon (Welfare Association), an organization established in Geneva in 1983. For the last 15 years, Taawon has worked tirelessly with civil society organizations on the ground, building an instrumental program that protects and nurtures Gaza's orphans from childhood all the way to adulthood. Rather than offering temporary aid, this partnership invests in a child's life until they turn 18.

• Daily Survival: Securing nutritional food, safe clean water, and warm clothing.
• Medical and Emotional Healing: Providing critical healthcare and deep psychosocial trauma support in a conflict zone.
• Education and Opportunity: Funding continuous schooling and targeted vocational training for older youth to guarantee long-term self-reliance.

Meet Mohammed

Mohammed lost his father and suffered severe, life-altering injuries when a bomb struck his family home in Gaza. Lost and grieving, he was taken under the wing of Taawon's Noor program. Through consistent psychological care and community support, his spirit began to heal. When he was recently brought into a safe space and given brand-new clothes, his smile finally returned.
